British Dressage Northern Forum with Pammy
and Charlie Hutton

Wednesday 14th April 2010. 7:00pm

International dressage rider and trainer, Pammy Hutton, is to give a lecture and demonstration for British Dressage along with her son, Charlie, at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire. The Forum will be organised by Hoyland Event and is to be sponsored by keen dressage supporters Equissage.

During the event, Pammy, Charlie and their team will demonstrate the techniques required for successful dressage using horses, from novice up to advanced level. The evening will finish with a display of dressage to music.

Pammy is joint principal of the Talland School of Equitation in Cirencester and columnist to the Horse and Hound magazine. She has had a long and illustrious competition career, being Pony Club Individual Horse Trials Champion and a member of the British Junior European Three Day Event Team. As a senior, Pammy was second at Punchestown International Three Day Event and was short-listed for the Montreal Olympics.

For many years, she has been listed as one of the top 12 dressage riders in the UK producing all her horses to Grand Prix from scratch and has taken 9 of them to International standard. She is highly regarded for Dressage to Music.

Pammy trained the Gold Medal winning Australian Three Day Event team at the Barcelona Olympics and is currently involved in training three members of the Gold Medal winning Paralympic team. In addition, she also helps many successful event and dressage riders.

Son Charlie competes at Young Rider international and Grand Prix level. He was ‘born to ride’ despite his initial reluctance and assists his mother with training. In 2009 Charlie won the team Gold and individual Silver medal at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival.

British Dressage Northern Region Development Officer, Miss Chrissie Havis, said: “We’re delighted that Pammy and Charlie are coming to the Northern Forum to allow us to benefit from their experience and expertise. The event will give dressage enthusiasts, from the Northern Region and beyond, the opportunity to watch and learn from riders and horses of the highest calibre.”

Event sponsors Equissage also sponsor top dressage riders Maria Eilberg and Lee Pearson CBE. Equissage is a multi-unit physiotherapy massage system developed specifically for equine use. It can be used to target specific problems and also helps to maintain peak condition and general good health.
